polyurethane sealer for wood and cement

Polyurethane special chemical product. Highly penetrating and strongly adhesive on absorbent substrates. Extremely resistant to mechanical stress and friction. Transparent, resistant to UV radiation, non yellowing. Excellent resistance to marine and coastal conditions. Apply on any porous surface, such as wood, cement, concrete, brick, etc., needing waterproof protection. Seals and stabilizes absorbent substrates allowing the surface to breath. Use to seal wooden boats and wood needing heavy duty protection. Ideal for stabilizing weathered surfaces on floors and walls and for offering excellent protection to floors exposed to heavy traffic, oil, etc.

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, free of resins, oil, old weathered coatings and dust. Sand surface smooth using the right sandpaper for the task. Surface should not be cleaned with water before varnish application.

► New wood:
Apply 2-3 coats of POLACRYL 301 depending on the absorbency of the surface.
► New plaster, concrete, brick, cement:
Apply 2-3 coats of POLACRYL 301 depending on the absorbency of the surface.
► Old wood:
Use POLACRYL 305 to fill large gaps and cracks. Apply 2-3 coats of POLACRYL 301 depending on the absorbency of the wood.
► Old plaster, cement, brick, concrete:
Putty where necessary. Apply 2-3 coats of POLACRYL 301 depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Use

► Ready to use.
► Wood humidity must not be over 18%.
► Cement humidity must not be over 5%.
► Do not apply when ambient temperature and surface temperature is below 10°C, above 35°C and when relative humidity is above 70%.
► Shake or stir well before use.
► Sand surface smooth with the right sandpaper for the task before sealer application.
► The number of coats depends on the porosity of the surface. Wait till tacky to apply the next coat.
► Allow POLACRYL 301 to dry, sand lightly and remove sanding residue with a rag. Then, depending on the surface, feel free to apply any of our solvent-based coatings.

Drying out - coverage

Drying times are dependent on ambient temperature and film thickness.

Touch dry: 2-3 hours.

Recoat: 24 hours.

Practical coverage: 4-12m²/lt depending on the thickness of each coat and the surface porosity.
