polyurethane stone varnish, colourless

Special polyurethane varnish extremely resistant to chemical and mechanical stress. Apply on floors or linings made of schist, porous stone etc. and on fireplace decorative panels. Penetrates in depth and waterproofs porous surfaces (porous stone-bricks), offering exceptional resistance to chemical and mechanical stresses. Creates a waterproof film preventing mildew growth. Waterproofs stone surfaces and enhances their vein patterns. Resistant to frequent washing and UV radiation. Offers protection against air pollutants, corrosion and natural wear. Non-yellowing, ideal for indoor and outdoor use.

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, free of resins, oil, old weathered coatings and dust. Sand surface smooth using the right sandpaper for the task.

► Stone, plaster, concrete, cement, brick:
Apply 2-3 coats of POLACRYL 302 depending on the absorbency of the stone support.
► Old stone with mildew, insects, algae:
Remove weathered coats, sand and remove sanding residue. Wait for 24 hours (until the surface is completely dry) and apply 2-3 coats of POLACRYL 302 depending on the absorbency of the stone.

Use

► Ready to use.
► The number of coats depends on the desired gloss and resistance to mechanical stress.
► Surface humidity must not be over 5%.
► Do not apply when ambient temperature and stone temperature is below 10°C, above 35°C and when relative humidity is above 70%.
► Shake or stir well before use.
► The number of coats depends on the porosity of the surface. Wait till tacky to apply the next coat.

Drying out - coverage

Drying times are dependent on ambient temperature and film thickness.

Touch dry: 2-3 hours.

Recoat: 4-6 hours.

Practical coverage: 4-8m²/lt depending on the thickness of each coat and the surface porosity.
