POLACRYL 330 is a high-quality water-based gloss varnish based on acrylic resins. It is odourless and, thus, ideal for use on interior and exterior wood. It creates a beautiful glossy finish enhancing wood’s natural beauty. Suitable for use on doors, windows, window frames, wooden lining, pergolas and on any wooden surface. This varnish has water repellent properties and excellent elasticity. It does not flake off, blister or crack. It is extremely resistant to scratches. Offers strong protection against harsh UV radiation, rain and humidity.

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, free of resins, tree resin, oil, old weathered coatings and dust. Sand surface smooth using the right sandpaper for the task.

► New wood:
For protection, apply 1-2 coats of POLACRYL 320 in the direction of the grain of the wood (not crosswise). Apply 1 or 2 coats of POLACRYL 330 using a shade of your choice.
► Previously varnished wood:
Remove old varnish coatings. To maintain the shade of the previous varnish, apply 1-2 coats of colourless POLACRYL 320 and 1-2 coats of POLACRYL 330. Use the same shade in POLACRYL 320 and POLACRYL 330 to change the color of the wood.

Use

► Stir well before use.
► Sand surface smooth with the right sandpaper for the task before painting.
► To avoid bubble forming during application, try to work in a shaded area.
► Do not apply when ambient temperature and wood temperature is below 10°C and when relative humidity is above 80%.
► The final shade depends upon the natural colour and the absorbency of the wood and the number of POLACRYL 330 coats applied.

Drying out - coverage

Drying times are dependent on ambient temperature and film thickness.

Touch dry: 1 hour.

Recoat: 3-4 hours.

Practical coverage: 8-12m²/lt depending on the thickness of each coat and the surface porosity.
