alkyd anti-rust metal primer

Alkyd anti-rust undercoat for new or previously coated iron surfaces, weathered galvanized surfaces and other exterior and interior metal surfaces. Its specially processed anti-rust agents protect metal surfaces against corrosion and rust. Due to its excellent adhesion to iron and other coated surfaces, ANTIRUST can also be used as an intermediate protective layer. Ensures a smooth surface for premium finishes.

Preparation

Carefully prepare surface to obtain good results. Remove all weathered coatings, loose materials and oils. Sand surface smooth and remove sanding residue with a rag.

► Previously painted metal surfaces:
Sand and clean sanding residue. Prime with ANTIRUST undercoat, 1-2 coats.
► New metal:
Degrease using THINNER 135 applied with a brush. Prime with ANTIRUST undercoat, 1-2 coats.

Use

► Stir well before and during application.
► Before application of the top coat, sand surface smooth with the appropriate sanding paper and remove sanding residue.
► Apply two coats with a roller or brush thinned with WHITE SPIRIT by 5-15%. For application with an airless spray gun, thin with THINNER 135 used in airless spray gun by 10-20%.
► Wait for the first coat to fully harden before applying the second coat.
