Varnish – primer with very good adhesion to non absorbing surfaces, such as glass, tiles, enamel, aluminium, marble. Easy to use, no thinning required. Numerous applications as a primer on two-part polyurethane products. Ideal for bathroom renovation projects in houses and hotels.

Preparation

Carefully prepare surface to obtain good results. Surface must be clean, dry and free from defective or non-cohesive material, dust, oils, soap, shampoo residue and salts. Clean the surface thoroughly using a stiff bristle brush and soap water. Rinse-off well and allow to dry before degreasing the surface with a thinner soaked rag.

► New glass, tiles, enamel, aluminium, marble:
Apply SMALTO GRIP on a completely dry and clean surface. Normally, one coat is enough. Allow to dry completely (12-24 hours). Apply 1 coat of POLYGLOSS and 1 coat of POLYGLOSS + ADDITIVE 640.
► Old glass, tiles, enamel, aluminium, marble:
Apply SMALTO GRIP on a completely dry and clean surface. Normally, one coat is enough. Allow to dry completely (12-24 hours). Apply 1 coat of POLYGLOSS and 1 coat of POLYGLOSS + ADDITIVE 640.
► Old non absorbing tiles, enamel and marble:
If you wish to varnish the surface, apply 2 coats of SMALTO GRIP on a completely dry and clean substrate.

Use

► Stir well before use.
► To prevent bubble forming during application, work in an area protected against direct sunlight if possible.
► Do not apply when ambient temperature and surface temperature is below 10°C and when relative humidity is high.
► Do not allow more than 5 hours to apply the next coat.
► For a non-skid finish, allow SMALTO GRIP to dry and apply 1 coat of ANTISKID where anti-slip protection is required.
